As a native of Amarillo and a retired Army Officer, Doug has the passion to reach-out to his fellow Veterans in the Panhandle of Texas and be there for them.  American Patriots have a duty to take care of the millions of Veterans who have taken care of us from the beginning of this great country and Doug is certainly an American Patriot!   In addition, he looks out for the best interest and leadership potential of young people, as a John Maxwell Team (JMT) Speaking Coach and Speaker.  Doug has the passion to reach-out to the young people of Amarillo through the Global Initiatives of the JMT Program.  Adding to his list of service he is also a Philanthropist and an Entrepreneur.

Alicia "Aly" Harmon, Treasurer

Alicia β€œAly” Harmon is a native of Amarillo.  She is a social studies teacher for Amarillo ISD and is married to retired U.S. Army Colonel Fred Harmon.

Aly was one of the Family Readiness Group volunteers for the 413th Civil Affairs Battalion to attend the first Yellow Ribbon trainings for the Army in 2007, when the Department of Defense found that soldiers and families were experiencing an extremely challenging time transitioning from the new and very social war we were now fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Aly was the Family Readiness volunteer for the 974th QM CO from 2009 through 2015 helping to prepare families for deployments and serving during and after deployments.

Aly has served on the Board of Directors for America Supports You Texas and has been a vital part of the Operation Homefront collections and distributions in the Panhandle for the Back to School Brigade and Operation Santa.  Aly has been a volunteer for the American Fallen Warrior Memorial Foundation, Socks for Soldiers, and gives her time to help family groups in the MEPS and NOSC units in Amarillo.  Aly was the recipient of the Great American Patriot Award in 2016 and has received civilian commendations from the 974th QM CO for her many hours of work. 

Aly has volunteered countless hours helping military families not only prepare for deployments, but maneuver life during deployments and then managing and sometimes coping with the readjustment of life after the servicemember has returned home.  Aly has been the Blue Star Wife during Operation Iraqi Freedom from January 2003 to April 2004, Operation Enduring Freedom from September 2006 to April 2007, and October 2007 to May 2008, Operation Iraqi Freedom from August 2008 to November 2009; and most recently Operation Enduring Freedom and the Warrior Transition Unit, Fort Hood, TX; November 2011 to August 2013. 

Aly and Fred have 4 children still at home. Alexandra is a Freshman at West Texas A&M University this year; Ashleigh who is a Junior at Amarillo High School; and twins, William and Luke, who are in the 6th grade at Crockett.   Fred is now serving us as a Lieutenant with the Amarillo Police Department serving as the Fleet Manager.  He is in his twenty-third year with the department.
